Frequently
Asked Questions
Can I get a sample of my
wood packaging order? |
We do like to provide a pre-production
sample so that we can ensure the box fits your product
and meets your expectations. |
Is there any duty on wooden boxes shipped
into the US? |
There are no duties on wooden boxes entering the US.
There is a nominal charge for customs clearance but this
is normally no more than $40.00 and is included in our
shipping quote.

How long does it take to
clear customs? |
We have an excellent customs broker who makes sure our shipments clear
customs without a hitch. There can be hold ups at the border but we
have never had a shipment held up. |

What kind of wood do you use? |
We primarily use soft woods such
as spruce, pine, and cedar as these are native to B.C.
and are readily available at a good price. We also have
access to Birch, a hardwood, available locally, and can
purchase any type of wood our customers may request. |

How does pricing work on
your wood boxes and wood packaging? |
For any given box there can be a huge range in pricing depending on
whether the box has hardware (hinges, clasps etc.), the type of wood
used and the type of construction used.
In general our sliding lid boxes and lidless crates are the least
expensive. |
Aren't wooden boxes expensive compared to
other packaging? |
We don't think so. We think that you'll find that wooden packaging
is very competitively priced with other packaging.
Add to the competitive price the fact that wooden packaging adds value
to a product and we think wood is an extremely good value. |

What about guarantees? |
We stand behind our boxes 100%.
If you are unhappy with the workmanship or quality we will work with
you to find a solution. |
